Professor Andrew Boulton

Chair of EURADIA Board of Trustees
Prof Andrew Boulton is Professor of Medicine with a special interest in diabetes and its complications at the University of Manchester and Consultant Physician at Manchester Royal Infirmary. His clinical role includes inpatient supervision of patients with diabetic complications and outpatient clinics at the Manchester Diabetes Centre. Prof Boulton is a member of the British, European and American Diabetes Associations, and the Association of Physicians of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. He is also President of the Worldwide Initiative for Diabetes Education and a Co-Chair of the European Coalition for Diabetes (ECD). Prof Boulton is a Past-President of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes and represents the EASD within the membership of EURADIA.

Mrs Anne-Marie Felton

Mrs Anne-Marie Felton is currently working within the voluntary sector, nationally and internationally. Mrs Felton is the Co-Founder and President of the Foundation of European Nurses in Diabetes (FEND) and Vice-President of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF). She is also a Co-Chair of the European Coalition for Diabetes (ECD). She was a diabetes specialist nurse for over 20 years and is an Honorary Consultant at Queen Mary’s Hospital, Roehampton, London, UK, and a member of the teaching faculty for the University of Surrey Roehampton/Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Diabetes MSc program. Mrs Felton has a particular interest in Therapeutic Patient Education (TPE) and represents FEND within the membership of EURADIA.

Mr Chris J Delicata

Mr Chris Delicata from Malta is currently the President of the Maltese Diabetes Association in which he has been actively involved since 2001. His eldest son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 1999 when he was just one year old. This difficult episode in his life encouraged him to work wholeheartedly for diabetes. Mr Delicata served as Vice President of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF Global) from 2013-2015 and as President of the International Diabetes Federation Europe Region (IDF Europe) from 2008-2012. Mr Delicata had been a member of the Board of IDF Europe since 2003, serving also as Vice-President and Treasurer. Mr Delicata was a founding member and currently the Chair/Spokesperson of the European Coalition for Diabetes (a coalition of pan-European organisations including EURADIA). Between 2013-2016, Mr Delicata served as Honorary Auditor of EURADIA e.V. Mr Delicata is an Insurance Practitioner by profession and is currently a Senior Manager with one of the leading insurance companies in Malta. In 2011, Mr. Delicata was awarded the CIVI Europaeo Praemium – the European Citizen’s Prize from the European Parliament in recognition of his work to promote diabetes in Europe.
